Barefoot

I have always loved to be barefoot. The more dirt and mud the better. How amazingly soft the earth is, to feel the skin of Mother Nature and to think it is a constant, this thing we call earth. Hubris.

We begin as a seed in the womb and we return to the earth. My Dad used to say that our life here is but a blink of an eye. As I get older I see what he means so sometimes I ask myself how in this precious but short time we have here, what are the ways we draw inspiration and reconnect with the ancient primordial vastness of life. There are no limits to experiencing this expansiveness and it is ours for the asking.

Just observe young kids stomping around in puddles getting as wet and dirty as they possibly can. Joy. Instinct. No better time like the present to be curious and find wonder in our lives.
